Awhile back, I featured vocabulary words from a site that offers words of the day. Dictionary.com is one of those sites that will teach you a word a day through e-mail, RSS feed, or directly on the site. It pulls its information from several dictionaries, including Random House Dictionary, Collins English Dictionary, and Online Etymology Dictionary, allowing you to compare definitions from different sources on one Web page. Although the site has more than its share of ads, it is free and offers a thesaurus and other tools as well.
